White, gray, black.
Adults: Line eyes, crest, feathers flying, shoulders, and two lines on a black chest. Head, neck, chest, and back white. Some scribbles down. The other part is gray.
Young: More gray. No black.
Iris yellow, greenish yellow beak, black legs. Hunters who live alone in the shallow water, foraging traced by the head and beak. Stand with one foot waiting for prey to pass by. Resting on top of the tree.
Food: fish, crustaceans, tadpoles, water snakes, larval dragonflies, lizards Nesting in small colonies. Nest is a pile of twigs in the tree canopy.
Eggs are light bluish green color, the number of items 3-4.
Breeding months of December to March, from February to June.
Habitat Wetland habitats, often near the sea. Sometimes in inland lakes.
Spread to a height of 900 m above sea level.
